The Kern County Builders' Exchange 3rd Annual Safety Expo was another great success. We want to thank the following companies for their donation of space, time, materials and equipment. Our Safety Expo could not have been such a success without all their help.
Our morning started off as a perfect day to hold a Safety Expo. All our tents were set up and each tent was individually marked with the vendor's name. 
 
The employees started arriving early for check-in and were all given a free CAL-OSHA certified hard Hat with the State Fund Logo on one side and the Kern County Builders' Exchange Logo on the other. Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs were also a must especially when you were over by the lift areas.
All the classes started at 9:00 am and chairs were filled. The classes started by showing video's before the "hands on" requirements. Once the instructions were completed, The Boom and Scizzor lifts, Reach Forklift and Forklifts came alive across the whole lot. It was great seeing everyone so motivated to learn for the experience as well as certification of each piece of equipment.
While each class was busy training, testing and certifying on the equipment, those dedicated Board Members fired up the BBQ on the other side of the lot sending the aroma of brats and hamburgers in the air. Each person attending was given a wonderful barbecued hamburgers, with all the fixings' and Brats that were out of this world.
We also had many door prizes that were given away as each person left.
Our Safety Expo is intended for our Members of the Kern County Builders' Exchange and State Fund Group 44, Chapter 16. This provides a free service to have their employees certified for the work place. Without the below key companies, this would not have been possible. So please remember these companies and contact them for any of your equipment and service needs.
Reyneveld Construction again donated their facility to us and it was perfect. We had so much room for all the equipment, tents and barbecue supplies and everything else to hold this very professional safety event. A big THANK YOU goes out to William Reyneveld, Harold and all the crew at Reyneveld Construction.
Ahern Rentals, Inc., Premier Equipment Rentals and Sunbelt Rentals – What can we say! THANK YOU so much for your donation of time and equipment to certify employees in Fork-Lift, Reach Lift, Boom-Lift and Man Lift. Our success could not have been reached if it was not for your company's donation of all the equipment and dedicated man power to certify each employee who attended the Safety Expo. Many hours of setting up also went into our Safety Expo by your companies and we owe you much gratitude for all that you did for us so please accept our sincere Thank You!
Serban Sound and Communications, Quinn Rentals, Volvo Rents, Knights Pumping, Walter Mortensen Insurance & Bronco Electric – Quinn Rentals, we thank you for guiding all of us to our function. With your signage and cones we were all able to find our way, and believe me they were needed. Volvo Rents, thank you for all your tables and chairs that you donated. We couldn't have provided the number of people with chairs and vendors with tables without your donation and we sincerely Thank You for everything. Walter Mortensen Insurance, you donated the morning coffee and donuts and had lots of literature to give out at our Safety Expo, including yummy raffle prizes. Serban Sound and Communications, how can we really say THANK YOU, to you and your staff other than to just say it? Thank You for the use of your PA system, huge Monitors and DVD Players that were in each tent. Bronco Electric – We would not have had power to all of our equipment in each tent if it weren't for you. Thank you for donating the manpower, to make this all possible. Knights Pumping – The portable restrooms were very much needed and we appreciated having them.
Sprouse CPR and Safety – Thank You so much for teaching CPR and handing out literature to assure that employees in the work place are now certified to do CPR. We appreciate your dedication to the Construction Industry and making sure these employees are aware of when and how to do CPR in a first responder situation. Thank You again for teaching this very important class to help save lives in the work place.
