The Kern County Builders exchange, in conjunction with “The Golden State Builders Exchanges”, offers a free Online plan service to all of our members. This simple, user friendly, application helps our members keep up to date with current and future bids, Plans, Bidders and viewers of upcoming projects. The Online Planroom is a perfect tool to allow each member to view, print, and do take-offs from virtually anywhere where a computer and Internet connections are available. Whether it is on the job site, in the office or in the comforts of your home, the Online Planroom services helps even the busiest members take a breather. On-Line Take off
Each member receives an unlimited number of Log in and Passwords for their employees. This will make it possible for each employee to log in at their leisure without the interruptions from any other users. NOTE: If two employees log on using the same log in and password, That login will be disabled and the Member Contact will be notified. If this accurs, please have the Member Contact call or email KCBEX office for re-activation. Once you receive your login and password, you may enter the On line Planroom at any time. Your first page will show you the user friendly atmosphere and help guide you through the information provided. The Main Entry page presents you with a quick review of all the past and present project that you have looked at. This helps eliminate extra time searching for projects that you may have to review.
One of the first requirements is to download your free software. This tool is designed to help you view, print, track and save all of the projects that you need to bid. The Take-off tool easily loads and automatically attaches itself to your desktop to view, off line, all of the projects you have downloaded up to date. This makes it possible to save time from logging into the Online Planroom every time you need to review a project.
Our user friendly help desk is designed to answer any questions you might have. We understand that some applications are very different then most so we have included this feature to make sure that you are receiving, without delays, the most benefits that the Online Planroom has to offer. If you discover an unexplained functions or just need a friendly person to help you with an issue, please call our office. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Many of our members take advantage of other Online Planrooms that are made available to them. For this reason we have made it possible, for an extra fee, access a number of other Online plan room that are out of our membership area. This section can tell you which Online Planrooms are available, where they are located and which ones have been activated through our system.
One of the most exciting features is how you can view your projects. (Example: 1) lists the actual projects that are available within you viewing area. This will include all of the plans that you have activations to see with your membership. The other projects listed out of the Kern County Builders Exchange area are "Read Only" and are designed to keep you informed on what other areas are listing for bids. (Example: 2), (Example: 2) and (Example: 2) are the actual views of each project and plans that were made available. These views include all available sheets, Spec books and addenda that have been added.
Whether it is a pdf view or an actual On Screen Take-off view, you have the abilities to enlarge and pinpoint your primary areas of interest. Prints can be made through your normal printer for quick references and/or you can contact the Kern County Builders Exhange and order actual size prints for your library. Write down the Project name, the sheet numbers that you require and when it bids. This information can be faxed to the Kern County Builders Exchange and the prints can be picked up at a price per sheet basis. Spec books usually appear in a pdf format only. This is a simple process, if printing is required, of highlighting the pages needed and printing them on you personal printer.
