Internet Information Port Hole

The Kern County Builders Exchange is working hard, every day to bring you the most up to date information available. We are not only continuously improving the FREE  On-line Planroom and the Planroom Access at 1121 Baker Street in Bakersfield, we have changed to the passing lane of the Information Highway through our Web Site.

All of our resources have come together to one, user friendly, Web site designed for our Members.  Just a click of the mouse can help you stay on top of your industry when you need it.

We Have a New Look!

For the past several years our Members have been utilizing the ability to stop by and visit, Call on the phone, Fax to their fax machines and Email important information required for them to do business.   Although we still enjoy the friendly contacts and offer all of those services, these methods are very time consuming for our Members.

At the requests of our current Members and the Board of Directors, our Web Site had to be a total the solution.  After many Board of Directors meetings and long hours of preparation, a fast and easy way to find information is the result.

Although such a task cannot be accomplished over night, The Kern County Builders' Exchange Members and Board of Directors have listed the following Priorities for Success.

  1. Updated and Quality Information
  2. Appearance
  3. User Friendliness
  4. Members Improvement Ideas
  5. Member's Business Promotion throughout the Internet
  6. Centrally Designed "Point of reference" for the Industry
  7. Appreciation for special Member achievements.
  8. Member's Roll in the Construction Industry.

New Information is Made Available Daily.

Golden State Builders Exchanges (GSBE),  State Fund Compensation Insurance, California State License Board,  Cal OSHA and our affiliate Central California Builders Exchanges are some of the organizations continuously supporting our efforts. We receive daily updates that can make a difference.

Most contractors have a busy schedule each day.  To take a break for researching standards, law sand safety requirements can be time consuming. To help eliminate this extra obligation, The Kern County Builders' Exchange reaches out to everyone to keep our Members informed.

The information we receive is carefully reviewed to assure our members are receiveing what is needed and not just another place to go to spend money.  If therre is, by chance a requirement posted that requires items to be purchased, The Kern County Builders' Exchange will do it's best to provide information on how and where to purchase it at the best available prices.

We do ask our members to add their input when they have a chance. If certain information is required, or has helped a member in their business, we ask them that they contact us with the sourse of that information so we can add it to our Site.  "Usefull links" and "Contact us" are a couple of ways that we are receiving input.

Software Downloads, Forms, .pdf documents, Graphics and Word Documents are some of the easy to use links provided.  Some of our links will go directly into An approved third party web site to make sure that any updates are kept in a timely manner.
