![]() The Kern County Builders' Exchange provides many FREE and minimum cost seminars. These Education Seminars are provided for the sole purpose of helping our members obtain the knowledge of doing business in the Construction industry. Each Seminar is professionally planned by the experts in each topic. Below is an example of one of our Education Seminars. This, as well as all of our Seminars was a huge success. Ask anyone from The Kern County Builders' Exchange's Construction Community. Education Seminars are not only FUN and informative, they are something to talk about year after year.
The Kern County Builders’ Exchange 2nd Annual Safety Expo was a huge success. We really want to thank the following companies for their donation of space, time, materials and equipment. We cannot thank Reynevold Construction enough for their wonderful site. It was the perfect place to hold a very professional Safety Expo and that is just what it was, so Thank You Reynevold Construction.
Again this year we had the following companies donate their time and materials to make our Safety Expo another huge success:
![]() Hall Ambulance – Mr. Harvey Hall, once
again you have donated employees to teach CPR and hand out literature to assure that employees in the work place are now certified to do CPR. Mr. Hall and Hall Ambulance, we appreciate your dedication to the Construction Industry in all that you have done to make sure these employees are aware when and how to do CPR in a first responder situation. Thank You again for teaching this very important class to help save lives in the work place.
Ahern Rentals, Inc., Premier Equipment Rentals and Sunbelt Rentals– Wow, what can we say! Thank You for your donation of time and equipment to certify employees in Fork-Lift, Reach Lift, Boom-Lift and Man Lift. Our success could not have been reached if it was not for your company’s donation of all the equipment and dedicated man power to certify each employee who attended the Safety Expo. Many hours of setting up also went into our Safety Expo by your companies and we owe you much gratitude for all that you did for us so please accept our sincere Thank You !
Quinn Rentals, Volvo Rents, Ferguson Enterprises and Walter Mortensen Insurance all members of the Kern County Builders’ Exchange – Quinn Rentals thank you for guiding all of us to our function. With your signage and cones we were all able to find our way, and believe me they were needed. Volvo Rents thank you for all your tables and chairs that you donated. We couldn’t have provided the number of people with chairs and vendors with tables without your donation and we sincerely Thank You for everything. Thank you Ferguson Enterprises for the valuable time you spent in your booth and for all the goody bags gave to each employee. It was perfect for a Safety Expo. So thank you for all that you did. Walter Mortensen Insurance, what can I say! You donated the morning coffee and donuts and had lots of literature to give out at our Safety Expo. We appreciated all that you did for us.
![]() Thank You to Channel 23 News. We appreciated you coming and giving our 2nd Annual Safety Expo the media coverage for the second year in a row. You have graciously always been there for the Kern County Builders’ Exchange and we appreciate all that you do.
Our morning started off as a perfect day to hold a Safety Expo. All our tents were set up and each tent was individually marked with the vendors name. The employees started arriving early for check-in and were all given a free CAL-OSHA certified hard Hat with the State Fund Logo on one side and the Kern County Builders’ Exchange Logo on the other. These helmets were a valuable tool especially when you were over by the lift area, it was a must.
![]() All the classes were getting started by 9:00 am and chairs were filled. The classes started by showing video’s before the “hands on” part of the class. By the time it was “hands on” Wow!!!! Watch Out because we had CPR going strong and different equipment lifts all over the back of the lot. It was great seeing everyone so motivated at each class. While each class was busy training, testing and certifying on the equipment, we had the BBQ going on the other side of the lot. Those dedicated Officers and Directors had the aroma of BBQ hamburgers in the air. For lunch we served cheeseburgers with all the fixings’ and Brats that were out of this world. We also had numerous door prizes to give away.
This Expo is intended to show how the Kern County Builders’ Exchange is trying to help the members. The companies that attended were the key people that made this all happen. Without them we would not have been able to pull it off. So please remember the companies that made this all possible. Contact them for any of your equipment and service needs
